Maruti Suzuki Introduced the Celerio ZXi with AMT (Automated
Manual Transmission) technology, celebrating the first anniversary of the
hatchback Celerio.
The Celerio, comes with 5-speed manual and automated manual
transmissions. Previously
it was available only on the base LXi and VXi
variants, but there were no safety features like airbags.
Maruti Suzuki is
offering the AMT on the top-end Zxi variant considering the customer response. The
Price announcement is yet to be made.
The Zxi AMT gets body colored door handles and wing mirrors
with integrated turn signals, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors, a 2-DIN
audio system with Bluetooth, MP3, CD, USB and AUX-in and 4 speakers a keyless
entry system, steering mounted audio controls, tilt steering, dual front airbags and a rear
wiper/washer.
The Celerio is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder
K-Series petrol engine capable of 68 PS and 90 Nm of torque, rated at 23.1
km/l.
Diesel variant of Celerio will be coming soon, according to reports it may launch by June. It
will come with Suzuki’s first self-developed 0.8 liter two cylinder diesel
engine.
