Production for Celerio Diesel has started at Maruti Suzuki’s
Manufacturing Plant in Manesar.
This beginning of production is consistent with
the reports which stated that celerio diesel will launch in market after end of
this financial year.
The highlight of the Celerio is the engine which will be the
first self-developed diesel engine from the Maruti Suzuki. It is a two cylinder, 0.8-Liter engine.
Which is
expected to produce about 52-58 hp and 150-160Nm of torque, while returning a mileage
of 30.1 kmpl, which is going to prove Celerio the most fuel efficient Car in
Its class.
As said before, Celerio diesel will be India’s most fuel
efficient car, and surely it will overcome other hatchbacks and make a place
near Alto in top 5 selling cars.
Maruti can present Celerio in both Manual and Automated
transmissions.
Maruti also can make celerio the least expensive automatic
diesel car in the country. Celerio Diesel will be available in trims like LDi,
VDi, and ZDi, with the steering mounted controls.
