Maruti Celerio Diesel with ARAI Certified 27.62 Km/l Mileage Launched

Maruti has launched the Celerio diesel at an event in NCR. The Celerio diesel was among the most highly expected car from upcoming Maruti cars this year and the new engine variant has gone on sale with DDiS 125 moniker.

the addition of the diesel engine to Celerio is sure to give this car’s sales performance a shot in the arm. 

 Maruti-Suzuki will launched the Celerio Diesel in New Delhi. Maruti will start a new
episode in their diesel engine cars with the Celerio diesel.  Celerio is the first car to have the company’s self developed diesel engine with 793cc, two cylinder diesel engine, which was under development for last four years.

The 0.8 Litres DDiS diesel engine develops 47bhp and 125 Nm of Torque, and it is paired to a 5 speed manual transmission. This new Celerio diesel returns the mileage of  27.62 kmpl which is best in its class and certified by ARAI(Automotive Research Association of India).

There is no doubt that people will love this diesel car from Maruti with a huge mileage. Similar to the petrol Celerio (Manual) the diesel Celerio will be available with four variants-LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi(O).

As mentioned in our earlier articles, the safety features like Dual front Air Bag, ABS, Fog Lights, alloy wheels as well as other things like a rear wiper and washer, Bluetooth enabled music system with steering-mounted controls, electrically adjustable wing mirrors and driver seat height adjustment will be available with the top end variants.


The diesel variant of the Celerio hatchback should revitalize the sales performance of Maruti Suzuki in the small car segment of our country’s fast developing car market.
