Maruti S-Cross to launch in the first week of August

In this season of launching new cars Maruti is not behind and ready to compete with the market with it’s premium cars. It looks like that Maruti Suzuki will grab the new opportunities in the Car market.  Here is another news about Maruti and the news is that
the  most awaited premium SUV of Maruti Suzuki  S-Cross will be launching in first week of August 2015. Mr.RS Kalasi (Executive Director of Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki), confirmed this launch of the S-cross for the first week of August in a concluded media drive.

This S-Cross will be sold exclusively through Maruti’s new range of NEXA dealerships. Which will begin with major cities in the country. NEXA dealership will sell
only the S-Cross for now, afterwards more products (Cars) will be added later on.

The S-cross is manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Gurgaon plant in two versions. These two versions are DDiS 200 and DDiS 320. Localization level of the DDiS 200 is 97 percent at the same time this is for the DDiS320 is at 67 percent. The Engine for the S-Cross is fully
imported.

The most surprising thing about S-Cross is that it will not offer any petrol engine in this premium car.
Also at the beginning Maruti Suzuki is not providing automatic transmission. The DDiS 200 uses 1.3-litre MultiJet engine and develops 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The another 1.6 liter DDiS 320 develops 120 PS and 320 Nm of Torque and gets a 6 Speed manual transmission which is manual.

There is another thing about S-Cross that the DDiS 200 is claimed to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 13.2 seconds and the fuel efficiency of 23.65km/l, while the DDiS 320 does 0-100km/h in 11.3 seconds and mileage for engine is 22.7 kmpl.
